About the Journal

The Journal of Planning and Development Review (JPDR) is a reputable, peer-reviewed, open-access academic journal dedicated to the dissemination of high-quality research and scholarly studies on the impacts and implementation of spatial planning across diverse disciplinary perspectives. The journal places a strong emphasis on advancing principles of equity and sustainability, encompassing socio-cultural, economic, environmental, and institutional dimensions of development in both urban and rural contexts, at national and global scales. Through this focus, JPDR aims to contribute substantive insights into contemporary practices, challenges, and innovations in spatial planning and sustainable development.

JPDR is published biannually in May and November and welcomes submissions in the form of research articles, research notes, literature reviews, and book reviews, written in Indonesian or English. All manuscripts are subject to a rigorous editorial screening and double-blind peer-review process to ensure academic integrity, originality, and relevance. The journal is managed by the Department of Urban and Regional Planning, Universitas Pasundan, in collaboration with the Indonesian Planning Schools Association (ASPI) and the Indonesian Association of Regional Planning Experts (IAP) of West Java. Upholding the principles of open science, JPDR provides free and unrestricted access to all published articles, each assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI), thereby fostering wider dissemination, academic exchange, and engagement among researchers, practitioners, and policymakers.
