Abstract

This research aims to analyze the project based learning model for higher order thinking skills (HOTS) in improving science learning outcomes in grade 4 elementary schools. The type of research is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques carried out through reviewing journal articles related to the problem/phenomenon that occurs. Focus research on the PJBL learning model for HOTS in improving science learning outcomes in grade 4 elementary school. The results of the research show that innovative learning models can stimulate students' memory and high-level critical thinking skills in creating and solving problems related to the environment around them. One of the learning models used in this research is PJBL after being analyzed in its application. This is a change or increase in students in the good category towards HOTS. The conclusion is that there is a significant increase in high-level thinking abilities from the project learning model applied to students through the PJBL model towards HOTS in improving science learning outcomes in grade 4 elementary schools.
