Abstract

Every level of education pays attention to aspects of learner development and aims to achieve the expected graduate competencies (Aulia, 2022). Therefore, the maturity aspect of learners needs to be a special concern before continuing to the next level of education. One aspect that affects the level of maturity of students in the stimulation provided and the education model obtained from the previous level of education. This study is a quantitative study that aims to determine whether the PHBK model affects the level of maturity and readiness of kindergarten students to enter elementary school. The School Maturity Test was conducted using the Nijmeegse Schoolbekwaamheids Test (NST) measurement tool. This research was conducted at SD Karakter Depok. From 160 respondents consisting of 67 TK Karakter students and 93 non-TK Karakter students, it was found that 43% of TK Karakter students who implemented the PHBK model had greater ready criteria compared to non-TK Karakter students.
