Abstract

The understanding of students at Al Firdaus Bangsalsari Kindergarten, Jember Regency in numeracy subjects is still lacking, due to several obstacles, the first is that student enthusiasm is still low in the learning process, students do not actively participate in the learning process, the methods used are only lectures, questions and answers and assignments. Of course, students are given lots of practice questions to test students' abilities, but the large number of questions makes students less enthusiastic about working on the questions, the use of real media is still lacking so students still think imaginatively. This research uses 2 cycles of Classroom Action Research. . Cycle I consists of the stages of problem identification, planning, action, observation and reflection. Cycle II consists of planning, action, observation and reflection stages. The research targets were class B students at Al Firdaus Bangsalsari Kindergarten, Jember Regency. The data obtained were in the form of written test results, observation sheets of teacher teaching and learning activities and student observation sheets. The results of the analysis show that students at Al Firdaus Bangsalsari Kindergarten, Jember Regency experienced an increase in learning outcomes from cycle I to cycle II, namely 52% and 88% respectively. The conclusion of this research is that the Talking Stick model has a positive effect on student learning outcomes in numeracy learning activities. The Talking Stick model can be used in learning materials that require special skills so that learning to count runs successfully and successfully.
