PENGARUH INTENSITAS PENGGUNAAN MEDIA SOSIAL TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN INTERAKSI SOSIAL

Abstract

This study aims to determine the significant effect of the intensity of social media use on the ability of social interaction. The subjects of this study were 49 students of the Class of 2020 Counseling Guidance at Satya Wacana Christian University. Data Retrieval Techniques through Questionnaires. The sampling technique used is a total sample. The analysis technique used is a simple linear regression processed with the help of the SPSS for windows 25.0 program. Based on data analysis, the results of R Square = 0.177 (17.7%) which means that the variable Intensity of Social Media Use on Social Interaction Ability is 17.7% and for 82.3% due to other factors not explained by this study. As for the results of anova f count 10.132 (4.04) and sig 0.003 < 0.05, and in the Coefficients  data obtained the results of t count 3.183 (> 2.0). It can be concluded that there is a significant influence on the intensity of social media use on the social interaction ability of students of the class of 2020 Counseling Guidance of Satya Wacana Christian University.
