Abstract

The discussion of Classroom Action Research on grade III A students of SDN Klender 03 Pagi was motivated by the low student learning outcomes in Indonesian language subjects on the material of writing narrative text. The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of the index card match learning model in improving student learning outcomes in each cycle through the application of the index card match type cooperative learning model on narrative text writing material. This research used Classroom Action Research method which was conducted in two cycles. The results obtained from this study include the implementation of the index card match learning model on the material of writing narrative text which is excellent category. The average student learning outcomes in cycle I were 64 with a completion percentage of 41% with a sufficient category. The average student learning outcome in cycle II was 84 with a 90% completeness percentage in the very good category. This shows an increase from cycle I and II. The application of the index card match cooperative learning model can increase students' interest in learning Indonesian, increase students' activeness in learning so that there is an increase in the completeness of learning outcomes.
