Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of higher-order thinking skills through HOTS-based science learning modules with Research and Development (R&D) development research methods with ADDIE development models, namely Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The results of module validation by the four experts consisting of 1 science expert lecturer and 3 homeroom teachers obtained an average of 3.65 with a very good category, indicating that the module is very feasible to be tested. The results of the HOTS-based IPAS learning module product trial which was piloted by 13 grade IV elementary school students with pretest questions with an average score of 26.14 and posttest questions with a value of 28.4 with KKM 75 increased learning outcomes by only 8.82%. This low rate of increase is due to the low literacy level of children and also the ability to understand reading content that still needs guidance, so that the work on the children's HOTS level has not been able to achieve it
