Abstract

This research is motivated by the results of observations made at SMA Negeri 5 Pekanbaru, indicating that there are still Paskibra members with a low level of responsibility. This is evidenced by the fact that some Paskibra members rarely practice without repeated explanations, and they practice without carrying training attributes such as hats and complete tags during Paskibra training. The formulation of the problem in this research is whether there is an influence of Paskibra extracurricular activities on the responsible character of students at SMA Negeri 5 Pekanbaru. The population and sample in this research consisted of 55 students who participated in Paskibra extracurricular activities. The data collection methods used in this research are observation, questionnaires, and documentation. Data processing involved statistical analysis using a simple linear regression formula, which yielded an F calculated value of 29.073, exceeding the F table value of 4.02. Thus, Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, indicating that the variable (Paskibra Extracurricular Activities) has a 35.4% influence on the variable Y, Student Responsibility Character.
