This study aims to examine the level of job readiness among 12th-grade students majoring in Fashion at SMK Kartika IV-1 Malang. Job readiness is a crucial factor in bridging the gap between education and industry, especially in the fields of fashion and garment making. This research employed a descriptive quantitative method with a survey approach. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 13 students and interviews with vocational subject teachers. The aspects analyzed include physical endurance and focus during work, interest and motivation, school learning experiences, and industrial work practice experience. The results show that 54% of students strongly agreed that these four indicators significantly contribute to their job readiness. This indicates that the majority of students feel adequately prepared for the workforce based on the skills and experiences they gained from both school learning and industrial practice. The study recommends enhancing collaboration between schools and industry, as well as strengthening soft skills training to further support students’ readiness for entering the professional world.Downloads
