EKSPERIMEN METODE JIGSAW TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN PEMAHAMAN KONSEP MASIH SISWA KELAS V SD BERDASARKAN GENDER

This study aims to determine the effect of the jigsaw method on the ability to understand mathematical concepts of elementary school students based on gender. The method used in this study is an experimental method with a posttest-only control group design. The subjects in this study consisted of two fifth grade classes at SD Negeri 3 Penukal Utara, namely the experimental class given the jigsaw method and the control class with conventional learning. The instrument used in this study was a descriptive test to measure students' ability to understand mathematical concepts. The results of data analysis using a two-way ANOVA test showed that (1) there was a significant effect of the jigsaw method on students' ability to understand mathematical concepts, (2) there was no difference in the average ability to understand mathematical concepts based on student gender, (3) there was no interaction between the jigsaw method and gender on students' ability to understand mathematical concepts.Downloads
