Abstract

This study aims to investigate the effectiveness of implementing video media in addressing deficiencies in interest and learning motivation among sixth-grade students at SDN Ciwedus, Serang City, in Indonesian Language subjects. The methodological approach employed is descriptive qualitative with a case study design, involving students, teachers, and learning documents as primary data sources. Data collection was conducted through interviews, observations, and document analysis, subsequently analyzed thematically to gain an in-depth understanding of the observed phenomena.

The research findings indicate that the utilization of information technology-based video learning media can significantly enhance students' motivation and interest in learning. Students demonstrated increased activity, enthusiasm, and participation in the learning process. Video media facilitates students' comprehension of Indonesian Language materials through visual and contextual presentations, making abstract concepts more concrete and engaging. Furthermore, this media supports teachers in designing more interactive learning materials and enables direct evaluation of students' understanding.

This study contributes substantially to the development of effective learning strategies at the elementary school level, particularly in the domain of Indonesian Language education. The integration of video media as a learning aid emerges as an increasingly relevant alternative in the digital era to improve learning quality and student achievement. Therefore, recommendations for educators and education practitioners include adopting technology-based learning media to make the learning process more dynamic, enjoyable, and highly meaningful.
