ANALISIS KOMPETENSI PEDAGOGIK DAN PROFESIONAL GURU PENDIDIKAN PANCASILA DALAM MELAKSANAKAN PEMBELAJARAN DI SMP NEGERI 21 BANJARMASIN

Abstract

This research was motivated by the importance of the pedagogical and professional competencies of Pancasila Education teachers in creating effective.Pedagogical competence includes the teacher’s ability to understand students’ characteristics, manage the classroom, design and implement learning activities, while professional competence relates to mastery of subject matter and the ability to develop innovative learning strategies. This study aims to analyze the pedagogical and professional competencies of Pancasila Education teachers in implementing learning activities at SMP Negeri 21 Banjarmasin.This study employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The research was conducted at SMP Negeri 21 Banjarmasin. The data sources consisted of Pancasila Education teachers as the main informants, students, the principal, and supporting documents such as teaching modules, lesson plans, and learning evaluation results. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out using the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was ensured through source triangulation, technique triangulation, and member checking. The results of the study indicate that the pedagogical competence of Pancasila Education teachers at SMP Negeri 21 Banjarmasin has been implemented quite well. Teachers are able to understand students’ characteristics, manage classrooms effectively, apply various teaching methods, and create an active and conducive learning environment. In addition, teachers’ professional competence is reflected in their mastery of Pancasila Education subject matter, their ability to relate learning materials to everyday life, and their use of learning media and strategies that support students’ understanding. However, several challenges remain, including limited learning facilities and differences in students’ learning abilities. Based on the findings, it can be concluded that the pedagogical and professional competencies of Pancasila Education teachers play an important role in improving the quality of learning and students’ learning discipline at SMP Negeri 21 Banjarmasin.
