PENINGKATAN MOTIVASI BELAJAR MELALUI LAYANAN BIMBINGAN KLASIKAL DENGAN MEDIA KARTU MISI PRESTASI SISWA KELAS VIIA SMPN 8 MADIUN

Abstract

Learning motivation is one of the important factors affecting students' involvement and success in the learning process. However, based on the preliminary observation results and the spread of learning motivation to grade VII A students of SMPN 8 Madiun, it was found that there were still students who showed that learning motivation was not optimal, such as lack of endurance in doing tasks and low attention during learning. This study aims to increase student learning motivation through classical guidance services using achievement mission card media. This study uses the Counseling Guidance Action Research (PTBK) method which is carried out in two cycles with stages of planning, implementation of actions, observation and reflection. The study subjects were 24 students of Grade VII A SMPN 8 Madiun. Data collection techniques use learning motivation lift given in the pre-test, post-test I and post-test II stages. Data analysis uses quantitative descriptive analysis by looking at the improvement of the student's score and percentage of learning motivation. The research results show an increase in student learning motivation after providing classical guidance services using achievement mission card media. At the pre-test stage, an average score of 118.50 was obtained with a percentage of 56.43% of the moderate category. After cycle I action increased to 145.20 with 69.14% high category percentage and in cycle II it increased to 173.40 with 82.57% very high category percentage. Thus, classical guidance services using achievement mission card media can be a strategy alternative to increasing students' learning motivation.
