This study aims to examine the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by educational games on students’ mathematical communication skills in the topic of similarity. The research employed a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design using a pretest-posttest control group design. The sample consisted of two classes: an experimental group taught using PBL integrated with educational games and a control group taught using conventional methods. The research instrument was an essay test measuring mathematical communication skills. Data were analyzed using normality and homogeneity tests followed by an Independent Sample T-Test using SPSS 25. The results showed that both groups had similar initial abilities, indicated by a significance value of 0.773 (>0.05). After the treatment, the experimental group demonstrated a higher improvement compared to the control group. The hypothesis test resulted in a significance value of 0.000 (<0.05), leading to the rejection of H0 and acceptance of H1. It can be concluded that the implementation of PBL assisted by educational games has a significant effect on improving students’ mathematical communication skills. The integration of educational games enhances students’ engagement, motivation, and ability to express mathematical ideas and problem-solving steps more systematically.
