KETERAMPILAN GURU DALAM PENERAPAN VARIASI PEMBELAJARAN DI KELAS IV SD NEGERI 1 MUARA BARU

This study aims to describe the teacher’s skills in implementing instructional variation in Grade IV at SD Negeri 1 Muara Baru. A qualitative approach was employed using interviews, observations, and documentation as data-collection techniques. The research subjects included the classroom teacher, the principal, and two fourth-grade students.The findings show that the teacher applied various instructional methods such as interactive lectures, discussions, group work, demonstrations, and educational games. The teacher also used media including pictures, teaching aids, cards, and occasional videos to enhance students’ interest and comprehension. Observations revealed that instructional variation encouraged more active student participation, as indicated by their increased involvement in questioning and discussions.Interviews with students indicated that they felt more motivated and engaged when the teacher used diverse methods. Challenges encountered included limited time, inadequate learning facilities, and varying student readiness. The school supported the implementation by providing resources and encouraging teacher innovation.Overall, the teacher’s ability to apply instructional variation contributed significantly to improving the quality and effectiveness of the learning process in Grade IV.
